Hi there! Jackie Murawska, EdD, is a STEM Instructional Coach in a K-8 school district north of Chicago and a Mathematics Educator Researcher. She is the past-past president of the Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics and loves math! Prior to serving in this STEM role, Jackie spent 11 years in higher education specializing in teaching K-12 mathematics content and methods, and 6 years teaching high school and middle level mathematics. In her research, Jackie is passionate about exploring ways to develop teachers’ mathematical knowledge for teaching and equitable student discourse structures.
In her spare time, Jackie enjoys taking dance classes in ballet, swing dance, tap, and musical theater. She loves cheering on her daughter who is a first-year social studies teacher and percussion tech, and cheering on her son who plays college baseball at Benedictine University.
